Welcome to The Mindful Gym™: a place where your senses heighten and your whole body and mind get a workout you can’t forget. The Mindful gym is not only a concrete exercise system, but also has incredible implications for future generations. Before I get into what the Mindful Gym is, allow me to take you through a sensory exploration of how you might feel while doing this workout.

Close your eyes, take a deep breath in and then slowly let it out. Your in your favorite spot at the gym you like and you are ready to begin. You climb up the stairs, set foot on the treadmill, being to change the weights on the machine and strap yourself in for your routine workout. Not too excited about this, you begin to daydream of a gym experience that integrates all of your senses even your mind while working out your body. IF you can’t imagine this, allow my please to engage you for a moment.

Your in the gym working out and as you begin your exercise of choice, you also begin to tune into yourself, your body and your mind in a way you never have experienced. The regular exercise you always do becomes habit and you are dreaming of something else while you work out. something you feel you want but are not sure how to get that. Welcome to the MIndful Gym experience.

The Mindful gym experience offers more than just a regular workout. It offers you a way to *workitout* all together. Work out your problems, your relationship issues, etc. As your doing that and beginning to exercise harder, you begin to sense your body getting hotter and you have noticed that you are sweating more than usual. Your mind is becoming clearer now that your heart rate has increased to the level where Serotonin now has emptied into your brain thus causing immediate elation and a feeling of complete calm. You exhale your breath and continue your workout because it *feels* so good. Your muscles are pumping and your blood is coursing through your body breaking all toxins down and stimulating your natural immune system to begin to heal itself. As you climb those stairs, or push your chest press up and down, you begin to feel the best you ever have. Slowly, as you begin to come down off the peak of your chosen activity, you feel your skin drop from hot to warm and then finally to cool. Something in the air smells like fresh fruit and the colors of the gym you have been working out in for over three decades has now become somehow brighter, more enticing. You look around and notice things you never did before. Images seem more clear, more concrete. You even might feel like going and trying something new, meeting a new person, or even resting besides one of the people whom you have been admiring. Whatever the case, your 5 senses have popped and now you have reached the zone of peace and contentment. As you lie down you recognize your pulse has slowed down, your breath is bigger, wider and deeper, and you end with some light yoga poses that keep you feeling balanced and alive. That experience you just had is called the zone. the mindful zone.
